Jason Farr

Jason is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Ethics Lab, where he teaches environmental and tech ethics, leads the coordination and expansion of Ethics Lab’s educational portfolio, and develops innovative pedagogical content in collaboration with Ethics Lab philosophers and designers. His research aims to make sense of various relations among normativity, sociality, and our environment, joining foundational issues from metaethics with concrete, granular issues in environmental ethics. 

Jason has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Georgetown University, where he also completed a Fritz Family Fellowship at Georgetown’s Initiative on Tech and Society. He also holds an MA in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University and a BA in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia.
