Lab Travels to Switzerland to Present Methodology at Jesuit Business Ethics Conference

Ethics Lab traveled to Switzerland to share our creative ethics learning tools with business ethics educators from all over the world. The conference, “Managing and Teaching Business Ethics,” was hosted at Lassalle-Haus and aimed to bring together business ethics educators with entrepreneurs interested in integrating ethics into their companies. The conference is part of a series of three international conferences, co-sponsored by the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools, designed to explore the contributions the Ignatian tradition can make to business ethics in a globalized world. The packed conference brought together 80 participants from 21 countries, and included presentations from CEOs of major international corporations, as well as academic leaders of business ethics.

Ethics Lab’s Jonathan Healey and Elizabeth Edenberg shared our current tools for engaging business students and practitioners in conversations about ethics. They shared the work Ethics Lab has been doing with Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business this past year and led participants through an empathy mapping exercise. The response was enthusiastic and we were asked to develop toolkits to share through the network of Jesuit business schools around the world.
